Accent Lighting

Accent lighting is sometimes called directional lighting. It is used (in combination with other lighting styles) to highlight features of a room. Many designers use it to illuminate and spotlight areas of interest or special objects.

If you have a favorite object or area of a room using accent lighting can be a great way to showcase it. Wether it is a painting, plant, sculpture or architectural feature, accent lighting can help bring out the best qualities in a room.

Accent lighting should never be 3 times brighter than the rest of the room and should not be distracting or cause any glares. Track lighting, dim-able chandeliers, recessed lighting and sconces are the most common fixtures used to achieve proper accent lighting. They should be used sparingly and never over power the room.

Our stores in Bellevue, WA and Seattle, WA have many options for accent lighting. If you’re looking for the right sconce, flush mount, chandelier, track lighting, or more , we’ve got it!
